Ltd. is a joint-venture holding company which is trade on the Shenzhen Stock exchange since February 1992. It is one of the earliest companies to list on the China stock market.

The company's principal activity is the manufacture of glass products for the residential and commercial architectural markets. Focus on the future development, CSG has invested the Solar Energy Industrial since 2005. Dongguan CSG Solar Glass Co. Ltd. was founded to produce low iron glass in 2005; Dongguan CSG PVTech Co. Ltd. and Yichang CSG Polysilicon Co. Ltd. were founded in 2006 to produce the high purity silicon materials and manufacture solar cells and solar modules.

With its vast operations and over 2,000 skilled employees and the most of production lines and processing equipments of CSG are supplied by the world class manufacturers, CSG has increased the capacities to 150,000 tons low iron solar glass annual and high-purity polysilicon production capacity 1500 tons/year, the solar grade silicon wafer and solar cell processing capacity are 160MW and 100MW; the scheduled solar module processing capacity is 450MW.
